Each sponge cake has 4 layers of sponge and 3 layers of buttercream and/or jam.
The cake is then coated in white chocolate ganache and covered with a thin layer of sugarpaste/fondant.
If you don’t like chocolate (I know there are some of you out there), buttercream can be used instead.
Fruit cakes are covered in marzipan and then a layer of sugarpaste.
The prices are guidelines only as it’s the design of the cake as well as the size of the cake which is an integral part of the costing.
If you would like a showstopper of a wedding cake, but only need to feed a relatively small number of people, then dummy tiers can be added for impact.
